Artificial Factions

Viewers were empowered to change the story in the Emmy award-winning Twitch show, Artificial.

In the fourth season of Artificial: Factions, 96 Next Studios invited viewers to play a vital role in the story with the help of Grab Lab’s technology. We created the Artificial: Factions polling extension to allow viewers to join an AI-led faction, and make choices for story and character development. The extension also featured a vote bank in which viewers could sway polls by redeeming more votes with channel points. This gave viewers the opportunity to wield their influence by voting in the best interest of their faction or sabotaging them. In the season finale, viewers were left with the most challenging decision of the season: choosing one AI to survive.
